Broncos Stadium Advertising: A Mile-High Opportunity

Are you ready for some football? Cue the predictions. Cue the nacho cheese. Cue the memes making fun of Tom Brady. It’s time for kickoff….especially in Colorado.

Anyone who lives in Denver knows that this city bleeds orange and blue. No offense, Rockies. Apologies, Nuggets. You still around, Rapids? But this is a football town, a Denver Broncos town.

Why Should You Advertise in the Mile High Stadium?

If you’re involved in the world of advertising, the city’s propensity for pigskin makes Mile High Stadium highly attractive. In fact, in 2017, 76,355 people attended Bronco games a week. And that doesn’t even count the thousands walking the nearby streets or watching the game from local bars.

It’s not just the massive amounts of people rushing the gates that makes this a lucrative medium; it’s also the culture surrounding football. Football is a sport where people linger….and lingering translates into more impressions.

Take, for instance, tailgating: the typical Denver Bronco game begins around 2:00 in the afternoon. Fans? They show up five, six, seven, even eight hours early. They crack open PBRs and light BBQs. Then, after the game, they tailgate some more (especially when the team proves victorious).

Even those who don’t tailgate are walking on fertile marketing grounds…and many prefer not to walk at all. Enter pedicabs and Tuk-Tuks! These get people where they want to go and they’re much easier to access post-game than an Uber or a Lyft. They’re extra fun, too! The more people, the more pedicabs and Tuk-Tuks required. And the more opportunities abound.

Denver is filled with football lovers, making any advertising geared around it a smart choice. It really doesn’t matter how well the team does. Any true Bronco fan will tell you that they’re always undefeated in our hearts.

If you’re confused by the name, don’t worry you’re not alone. The new stadium was originally called Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium then up to recently it was called Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. In 2018 the stadium is officially known as Broncos Stadium at Mile High until a new naming rights partner is found.
